I usually use a mid-tier brand's pot concealer to cover up blemishes. How I use pot concealer is: After serums and primer, I place the pot concealer on my blemishes and under-eye area without blending. I wait for 2 minutes and then I place my foundation on normally and the rest of my base makeup. This creates a seamless finish and covers larger blemishes like acne scars and/or current red areas where my skin peels (due to tretinoin). This CoverGirl concealer stick is a great replacement for my pot concealer and I use it the same way. I still use a lighter concealer on top for my under-eye, but much less to prevent creasing. This stick is a bit darker than my skin tone which also helps color-correct the purple in my under-eye and other areas of redness.I do suggest layering your base primer with a primer for blemish control underneath this concealer if using as I described above. To do this, place your base primer on first, allow a minute to set in, and then go over areas that you want to cover or color-correct with a blemish control primer. Then proceed as I do above.I use this concealer for under and around my eyes and it is just PERFECT. It's not moisturizing but not drying, and covers up dark circles so well. I have sensitive skin and my eyes have NEVER had an issue with this concealer. My mom wore it for probably 40 years and introduced me to it 15 years ago, and I've worn it ever since. My local Target stopped selling it which is why I'm here to sing the praises! Obsessed and just bought four sticks at once just in case they stop making this! This concealer is better than any I've ever used before. It blends perfectly with my BB cream, but even if I want to do a quick concealment on bare skin, it blends with my skin. With other concealers I felt like I shouldn't use it too much because it would only get worse. With this one, I went seriously overboard and put it excessively over all my face creases and shadows. It didn't look cakey or dry. It is seriously so good. And the price! You can't beat it. Don't doubt anymore, just get it.This is a very good concealer the color is perfect. I liked it because it’s easy to apply. I recommend trying this product if you like concealer under your eyes.Does a good job of covering up my age spotsEasy to apply. Handy solid stick which is good for a quick cover up. Fragrance-free. I would definitely buy again.BuenoI bought this for undereye concealer but wasn't very impressed. I'm still testing it though. I used it to cover some spots on my cheeks and the next morning I had broken out. I think I just might have used to much. It's very creamy and matches my skin tone well so I'll find some use for it.I like this concelor it's good for covering light scars doesn't cause spots like most concelorsMOISTURIZES WELL, GOES ON SMOOTHLYI have used this product for years & it always does the job it's intended to do - hide undereye circles. I'm very happy with it & the price is right, too.Only cover stick I use. It covers discolouration and stays on for a long time. Other products are too thin and don’t last. It works good as an overall foundation too.I usually use NARS concealers but I decided to try a drug store brand... you definitely get what you pay for! The concealer doesn’t conceal anything; when it blends it’s completely patchy, oily and doesn’t dry on your face; it’ll wipe off in 3 seconds. Proabably the worst drug store product I’ve ever bought.
